UK-based vehicle tracking and camera systems firm Intelligent Telematics has introduced its new Safety League Table system to report the best and worst drivers in a vehicle fleet.

The new fleet reporting solution for van, car and HGV operators is the first one to combine collision video footage, driver behaviour data and video footage of harsh driving and near misses to compile a driving report.

Intelligent Telematics claims that the Safety League Table is 16 times more powerful and accurate than current fleet reporting solutions in the market. The video footage is transmitted to an online interface with live SMS and email alerts, so that any triggered event can be viewed by the fleet operator almost immediately after it occurs.

The Safety League Table uses an IT1000 3G vehicle camera from Intelligent Telematics to capture video footage, along with data from the vehicle GPS and accelerometer. It uses a points-based system to rank driver on up to 15 driving parameters that cover aspects such as braking, cornering, acceleration, idling and speeding.

The performance measurement system includes the unique percentage over speed, which calculates the proportion of time that the driver overshoots the speed limit. An integrated CANbus monitors rollover braking, engine brake usage and out-of-gear coasting.

The results from the fleet reporting system can be configured on a dashboard to view key information and drill down to related video footage and vehicle data if needed. Fleet operators can also analyse fleet data as well as efficiency and safety trends over time using the system's tabular and graphical data reporting capability.
