Autodata, a supplier of technical information to the automotive automarket, has launched a new range of APIs in order to offer more opportunities to developers in the B2B and consumer automotive markets.
Autodata chief technology officer, Neil Brooks, said: “Over the past year we have managed to establish a seamless process that has allowed us to pass APIs through the alpha and beta stages to launch extremely efficiently and we are delighted to now be in a position where the vast majority of our content is available for businesses to integrate Autodata within their own solutions.”
In conjunction with TIBCO Mashery, the Autodata Developer Portal provides developers with more than 70 APIs covering the company’s holistic diagnostic, repair and servicing information across 80 vehicle manufacturers. All APIs are kept updated and are delivered in a low maintenance and dependable environment.
Brooks added: “We have already worked with a select group of companies and developers who required integration with some of our early APIs and the results have been extremely successful. The feedback from developers is that our portal is intuitive and packaged in logical and well-structured modules.
“In growth terms, we are now receiving around 11 million API data calls on a weekly basis and we expect this figure to rise significantly over the next 12 months,” he added.
